Nice video!

one pass with lots of time spent shaveing areas of the face that were not covered with cream would not do me well at all. but it looked like he did just fine. im glad he mentioned there were other brands of SC other than the can.
but if he is gearing this as a tutorial for new DE shavers, i hope they don't jump in and try and take passes like that!!

Loved that video back in the day. Was pretty quick, but looks like more than enough for the everyday clean look.

Every time he was taking a swipes at his face with that Merkur I had to cringe but the guy know what he is doing obviously. My face wouldve been in ribbons by now.

I consider it a shame to buy a luxury product like T&H and "underlather" it like this. I don't think he appreciate that cream as much as he could.


As a tutorial, mantic59's vids are way better.

True dat. I also don't like how fast he goes. His technique probably wouldn't work for me, but it obviously does for him, so I suppose that's all that matters.

I like his videos a lot, though.

Whereas I bow to no man in my admiration of mantic59's videos this is a remarkable demonstration of "speed shaving".
Also - I had no idea that DE shaving could be construed as a political statement!

It looks like the shaving video has become quite popular on you tube. When I first watch Mantic's videos back in Jan 2007 I don't recall seeing so many.

That video is the first result if someone searches YouTube with the keyword "shave." There are a lot of other results too, most NSFW :mad3: .

Actually, my videos pop up in the first few results if the search term is "shaving" (vs. "shave"). Go figure. *shrug* :confused:

I noticed in the comments on this video the guy says he uses creams because they are thicker and richer. His lather seemed pretty thin and dry to me.

This was actually the first video on Shaving with a Safety razor I've seen. Then I did a search for more DE videos and found mantics.
