i was reading a previous post and it mentioned shower shaving. Now when I was doing the M3 thing, I did this all the time. I have a good mirror that doesn't fog, and would shave last before getting out, thus a nice soft beard to shave.

Now with having a brush, creams, soaps, a DE, AS, preshave, post shave, re-lather, ya-da ya-da, does anyone actually do this in the shower? Can you possibly get a GREAT shave while having water rain down around you?

Lots of us shave in the shower. Yes, you can get a great shave this way.

Did it for a million years before switching to DE. Even for a short time after I started DE shaving. But then after awhile, you are just in the shower way too long.

That's when I went to the sink with a Moss scuttle and a nice 15-20 minute 3-pass shave.

I moved back to the sink when I started w/ the DE. Too much water wasted as I take my time shaving. But you can whip up and use a good lather in the shower if you redirect the spray away from you while you work.

I read on another Shave Forum of a guy that bought a new shower head that adjusted the water pressure while Taking a shower and also served as a way to preserve water. Don't remember what it was called but I think he picked it up at Bed Bath and Beyond.

my showerhead has a shut off so i can shut the water off; now, i never use it; ha ha

i would not shave any other way if i had a choice; best shaves i get are in the shower.

I totally agree that the shower is where I like to shave. Been shaving in the shower for many many years. Soft water also is a plus. Before the brush, DE razor, etc. I would brag I could shower, shampoo, and shave in 6 minutes.
Longer now, but more enjoyable.:001_smile

I sometimes showered and shaved with an m3 for speed and convenience, but since I switched to a DE I don't see the point to shave in the shower. Like others said, it would take too long in the shower.

Leisureguy advocates using Em's place creams in the shower since they have a pump. Pump some lather in the brush and facelather then go to town.

When I shave in the shower I use Kiss My Face cream. It's very slick and holds up well.

I get very nice shaves because the hand that's not holding the razor is constantly feeling my face and telling me where I need to shave.

I haven't shaved in the shower since switching to DE. I take long enough that I see no reason to waste that much water while shaving.

Really, conserve water. Shave in front of the sink.
