Score from my visit to Venice ... the Proraso pre/post costs € 3.20 in the supermarket in Venice and € 8.50 if I buy it in Amsterdam.

8.50 Euro in Amsterdam?
$7.50 CAD in any local Montreal Italian mom&pop smallmart.

8.50 Euro in Amsterdam?
Yes, it's pretty bad. Here (NL) Proraso is marketed as something exclusive, only available in high-end shops or select barbershops, while in Italy it's supermarket stuff.

By no means a "score", but stuff I got anyway....
100 Russian Gillette 7 O'Clock blades came in today's mail, and I had to get a bottle of Adidas after shave for no other reason than that I run.

A New Improved dated to 1921. The first year of production I believe. Scored it at a local flea market. It has the infamous stress crack on the handle too.

Decided to give it a polish with nevr-dull. Was very surprised it turned out so well. It looks like the QC inspector was sleeping when this one came past...the patent date at the bottom of the handle is double stamped.

Jared, I have a 1928 Gillette Bostonian that must have had the same QC inspector. Mine is also double stamped.

Huh...very interesting. That is quite the stretch. Maybe they didn't inspect the shavers as rigorously as the did the blades.

+1. I think i have seen at least one Tabac post from Stauff on every score thread. By now he is sure to have the entire Tabac line of products. It's high time we changed the "Speick-en Sie Deutsches" title.

Okay, how good rapport must one have for this to happen.
Yesterday I walk into the local antique store in the town I work in, and this, more or less, is the ensuing conversation:
"Hey Jim, I found some more goodies for you, but I forgot them at that house"
*("that house" refers to a house which she has recently gone through for an estate sale - another plus, she sets aside shaving goodies for me before putting them in her store)
"ah, oh well..."
"tell you what, here's the key, why don't you go get them"
:confused::w00t::biggrin:
so there I am, going to this house, thinking how crazy is this, but not gonna complain. here's the score:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z68/sol92258/IMG_0879.jpg?t=1222201815
after some picking through, here's the good stuff:
http://i190.photobucket.com/albums/z68/sol92258/IMG_0887.jpg?t=1222201885
all of these items are at least 17 years old, minimum.
I'd never heard of Old Spice Leather, the glass bottles are really cool, have a kind of texture to them.
Notice the Old Spice ship on the silver "flask"
I don't know anything about the "Aramis" or "Royal Copenhagen", but hung onto them in case anyone here did.
Oops, forgot to add: that is a Gillette Techmatic, and a D2 Super Speed

smells real similiar, to my nose, as the english leather...of course, it's rather old, so I don't know if it is its true scent, but at least it'll be true to its name of OLD Spice

I am looking for a nice 60's SS to fill the Sun Up kit. I got one in the mail yesterday, but the end cap came off when I opened it and fell down the sink. I learned that the end cap is actually what holds the doors on the 60's razors, unlike early models where it is just a cap to cover the piece that holds the doors on.

Forida Water of which I have heard plenty about.
I live in Florida, and I really don't know why anyone would want to use our water as a cologne. I guess it's just a special kind of funk that appeals to northerners, as I see it's from New York. Perhaps that explains why we have so many of them around here...

It's actually an Enders speed shaver that came in a lot I bought for the Babasol razor. Whoever it belonged to liked it apparently as it came with a bunch of blades.
The ones in the plastic cases are Fasan razors from Germany. I'm not sure on the age, but I've heard there are not many open comb slants around except these types so I jumped on them. I'm looking forward to carefully trying them out...
edit: what is the one sitting on top of the Norfolk case?
It's marked Palmiera and is aluminum. I don't know much about it but bought it b/c it's different...

Nice haul Tom..... Here are a couple of my finds for the week. My biggest was the No Notch/No Date code SS. Been looking for a while. Also the Old Style Gillette Travel case. I couldn't resist that one. Maybe paid a little more than I should have, but the razor is in great condition.... You should also recognize one of the razor's in my lot also.... Thanks again..

And for you history buffs, I was looking for stamps and came across this Gillette mailer that was sent from Gillette Amsterdam headed for Gillette Boston in 1941 but was intercepted by the German Military of the time just before the major outbreak of WWII. Needless to say I not only collect Gillette razors but also memorabilia and items of Gillette.

Todays score is one I think is worth mentioning .
I usually don't post my scores so here you go fellas
Note only 2 of the Penhaligons are mine . I was hoping to buy more but this is all they had on the counter . all of the boxes are in the wooden bowls they had no refills left
http://badgerandblade.com/gallery/displayimage.php?imageid=14151
I was not going to buy this but the sales girl was smoking hot and she laid it on pretty thick I just could not resist . Boy did I get an ear full on the ride home from my wife because of the salesgirl  At first I did not notice but my wife says I was flirting up a storm much more then I usually do :blushing:
In case you cant read it this is Imperiale By Guerlain
http://badgerandblade.com/gallery/displayimage.php?imageid=14152
So now I had to suck up and buy some thing for my wife since I spent all that cash on myself
so I picked her up "My insolence" by Guerlain . If your SO likes sweet floral scents this is a fantastic scent it is pretty sweet almost smells like candy . Maybe when I get out of the dog house because of my flirting my wife will put some on for me

Next time I'll try the straight razor shave too.

It was a light week. I picked up a tube of Tom's Calendula, KMF Lavender, and KMF Unscented for the wife. (She has allergies)
That's a shining beauty of a Fatboy. May I ask what you payed for it?
Just over €40 (~$65). Perhaps too much, but it was cleaned, in mint condition (I can't find any blemish or damage), with case and 4 blades. Ordering online always has a element of risk, no matter how small. If you are interested, I think he has more but I am sure he has a Super Speed in the same condition.
Reading about the FB here and his recommendation won me over. Unfortunatly I was careless with my Futur and old blade (stupid..) that morning so I had to wait for my face to heal a bit. The first (and only) shave was very nice, a totally different feel than a HD. Feels more protected and slices differently. Downside, I can't hear the hairs being cut unlike with the HD, so no audio feedback on blade angle. Can't wait to my shave tomorrow morning.
I didn't think I would go down the "antique" path, but I'm really glad I did.

I know the stuff on the left is Avon products, the glass cologne bottle withstanding, the other stuff came in the tin, Black Suede if I recall correctly. The label on the Avon col. starts Clin....then the letters fading
what about the other items?
I'm thinking of shipping them to anyone who wants to pay the shipping on them, but the Aramis is kinda growing on me
I'm not sure how old the stuff in the 2nd haul is, like I said before the 1st is for sure 17+
Update & Edit: as a result of several inquiries, I realize my clarity was lacking: I'm hanging on to the Old Spice and English Leather stuff, but the Avon, Royal Copenhagen, Aramis and (HUGE) Jovan Musk I'm willing to part with, all you pay is shipping if you want it.

Nice score.
"Royal Copenhagen" is a famours porcelain manufacturer in Denmark; http://www.royalcopenhagen.com/
The three waves, as seen on the label of the bottle, is the logo of the company - together with the Danish royal crown.
The lion is simular to the three lions seen in the Danish badge of state.
The pattern below the lion is a pattern that can be found as decoration on many of Royal Copenhagen's pruducts.
The Cologne is still available, there are a few diffrent kinds actually. But the label is diffrent today.

It's a little spendy, 25-30 bucks for that size bottle.
