Merkur 23 vs 34 (HD)

I just bought a Merkur 23. After I bought it, I found that almost everybody are talking about the Merkur HD (34). I am quite happy with my razor, but would like to know what the differences between the two models are, besides the handle length.

I use the HD and it is probably heavier, but to be honest, I've never seen the 23/34 designation so I can't look yours up to know for sure.

This is the long handle version...handle is a bit skinnier than the HD but longer.

Hi Necator,

I use both, the 23c (was my first DE) and the 34c (now since 3 weeks), in my daily rotation, both work very well for me.
The head geometry is the same, only the handles are different..., as boboakalfb said...
