Being a newly infected RAD victim, my wife was kind enough to bring home a package of DE blades from our local grocery store (a Shaws in New Hampshire). Of course, I went to the review section to see how "Equaline Super Stainless Steel" blades are ranked. Though, the brand is not listed in the review section under that name. However, these really look a lot like the Walmart blades shown in the review section. Is this a case of simply selling under different names at different stores?

I'll take a guess that Equaline is their house brand and that the blades are probably made by ASR (Personna).

I get mine on the Air Force Base where I work, labeled as "Exchange Select" brand. I pay $1.49 per 10 pack. I rarely keep less than 3 or 4 unopened packs around the house.
These are good blades, and my choice for daily shaving (which I don't do every single day, but the term still applies.) I would rate them about the middle of the WCS pack as far as sharpness and comfort go. I use them about 90% of the time, only changing out to a Feather or a Derby or something else for a special occasion shave or experimenting with a new DE razor or sometimes just for fun.
Since they're so cheap, I never go more than two shaves on any one blade. Often I put in a fresh blade each and every day.
Keep in mind, even if I got these for FREE, I wouldn't be using them if they didn't give me a good result.

Equaline is also the house brand at ACME stores.
No, I have never met Wile E. Coyote there.

They look similar to the brand some of my local stores carry. While the packaging is different and the name the razor and dispenser look the same. If you look on the back does is say American Safety Razor or ASR. I think they are similar to Personnas sold at Walmart.

I had the same thought as you about a month ago while I was at Wal Mart. My shaving trial and errors settled me in to a Merkur HD and Derby blades. When I was in Wal Mart I saw the blades you have pictured in your first post but the card-board package is marked Persona, the blade dispenser is the same as yours. For the price of $1.57 for 10 blades what did I have to lose.
Well after three staight weeks of using these blades they are by far the best of any that I have tried, when my Derby stash is gone these will be the only blades I buy.

I have an equiline pack just like that that I got from an Abertson's food store. It was 89 cents, but was on close out. :frown:

Just picked this up from Jewel today. Curious how it is. Was only $4.
