I am Charlie Swindall of Clintwood Va. Most call me Gladhatter. I reckon cuz I'm both Glad and a hatter or Glad to be one or something.
I like to preserve the past as best I can and try to live in it if I could.
We are dedicated to the preservation and preputuation of the finest custom hand made hats in the world. This is not any advertisment but just a simple hello I hope. Would hate to get much more to do as it may ruin my reputation and some one accuse me of working for a living.
Anyways, folks we make hats and I dabble in making some advanced software for computers. I spent 8 years being disabled and just spending 16 ours a day fixin the broke computers mostly by phone and some fancy fangled repair programs we had built. Never got a penny for it just passed the time.
Got married and told that woman I would make sure she was not dirt poor all her life and tried to combine the old with the new. Seems to work out about right.
Now if you wanting to see some pretty hats you are welcome to look. They are not for sell just to look at. http://www.gladhatter.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=22
If you want to support the old ways of making hats or learn more about it or just say howdy, you can come visit or join the community. It too is not for sell and nothing to buy but plenty for free. http://www.gladhatter.com/forum .
I am new to this forum so please do not confuse me wanting to share my passion for hats with trying to sell you one as that is what its about.
I hope to meet each and every one of you folks and have a life time long good feeling here.
Y'all come on by and say howdy and be neighborly like.
Charlie
