View Full Version : Roasted Coffee Giveaway

Scotto
09-11-2008, 03:16 PM
I am having a miserable week. Rather than get dejected, I have decided to do something nice for some random individual. I am thinking of a number between 1 and 1000. The person who responds to this thread with the closest number (no repeats, please) will have some home-roasted coffee delivered to their door, gratis. Entries must be posted by Friday evening at 8PM, EST. Only US folks, please, to make my life a bit easier and the coffee fresher.

PS You'll need a grinder. This will be whole bean coffee, obviously.

Having already been the recipient of more than my share of Scotto's largesse, I'll decline to enter. Rather, I just want to note that the lucky winner of this will be happy when he gets the goods.

Congrats Brian, and thanks for the offer Scotto! It's probably a good thing that I didn't guess correctly. I somehow have a feeling that tasting freshly home-roasted coffee would lead to numerous other expensive AD's for me.

I'll second that...I'm already tired of having to explain why I carry a 32 oz thermos to work everyday, despite having two coffee makers there:

"well, you see, I've spoiled myself. Many months ago I bought a French press, and a few months ago bought an inexpensive grinder, so fresh ground beans + French press = don't want to drink "normal" coffee when I don't have to."

one of my most recent statement:
"as much as I'd love to, I hope I never get to try fresh, home-roasted coffee, I may never be able to afford drinking coffee again"
