First DE shave!

Well gents, I just finished my first shave with a DE razor and guess what. . . I really, really like this new (to me) system!:biggrin: I didn't get cut, had a pretty decent shave (better than I ever had with a Mach 3), hardly any irritation, and I think a little testosterone boost.:w00t: I used some of Sue's Very V shave cream with a C&E BBB, a slim adjustable set on 3 and for aftershave I just splashed on some witch hazel followed by Nieva extra soothing balm. I did 4 passes, all WTG. A few things did become apparent though. I need to practice making good lather a little more, I hear that is normal especially with Sue's cream's to find the sweet spot. I had trouble with my chin line. Normally it is my neck that gives me fits. But other than that it was all good! I look forward to learning more about this new system and many more great shaves!

BRAVO !!. It'll only get better. You might try substituting an XTG pass in opposite directions for a couple of those WTG passes. Keep us posted.

I use a Slim adjustable once and while and find a "3" setting to be a bit on the aggressive side so if you feel irritation, try turning it down to 2 or 1.
