Wanted to check in and thank all of you guys for saving my face. All of the reviews and posts have been quite helpful. I have been DE shaving for about 2 months now and I truly look forward to shaving in the morning. I have also had no problems acquiring way too many razors, mainly Gillette slim adjustables. I also just received by dirty bird scuttle today and you guys weren't kidding, this thing is great. Once again, thanks for all of the great information.

Welcome to the B&B Tracy. I'm originally from across your state line in SD. What part of WY are you in? Enjoy the shaves.

I live in Buffalo, which is the Northeast part of the state. Woke up this morning and the mountains were completely covered with fresh snow. Looked beautiful, but is seems way to early to be getting snow!!!!

I've been to Buffalo. Beautiful country. Snow? I'm jealous. Haven't seen that in a decade.

I just received a blade sampler for West Coast Shaving. I haven't seen too much on these yet but what are the Gillette blades like. I think I have read that they are referred to as Swedish G's. I am thinking of trying either those or the feathers tomorrow. Any Suggestions???

Welcome to B&B,
save the Feathers for last they are generally regarded as the sharpest, other then that try to give each different blade at least a few shaves and just enjoy

Unfortunately I didn't get on B&B before my shave this morning---I made the mistake of using the feathers first. Didn't think much of it because they didn't seem to shave any differently than the Derby's or Dorco's. Did my usual routine and got dressed. About an hour later I realized that they must be 10x sharper than I thought. My neck feels like I don't have any skin left. I really like the way they cut but I think I had better get my technique down to near perfect before I try them again.

Welcome to B&B, Tracy! Buffalo, Wyoming.. I believe that's close to the Big Horn Mountains.

Feathers can do that to you. Some people never use Feathers because they never get the hang of them. Like you said, give them a shot again after improving your technique.

Feathers are awesome. I use them everyday. But I am glad I developed with derbys first then moved my way up. They're not as scary as some people say. Good blades!

Is it bad to touch up without re-lathering the area. I am not talking about taking a 4 inch swipe just a little "swath" here and there.

a little generally is ok, see Mantic's video on advanced techniques -blade buffing, but if it is any more then a little spot you may want to put lather on to avoid razor burn
