Yeah it is great, I have a feeling I will give in and grab the big bottle once this one runs out.

Slow day at work + new paycheck = Me spending money on shaving supplies.

From the fine gentlemen, Gabor and Manfred, at www.fine-razors.de, a 13/16 John C. Cockhill wedge with Guaiac scales. Consider them highly recommended.

Sooner or later I will learn to take pictures of razors like the one in professorchaos' post.:001_smile

But I digress...

Today, waiting in my mail was my birthday present, funded by SWMBO and purchased through fleabay, 6/8 round point "KONUS" from Kolene Co. London:

Thanks! My technique is easy and requires no learning...I just take a lot of pictures. Seems like one in ten is post worthy...

Did you see that Grelot with mammoth ivory? A very good looking razor.

Got the mother load this week. Check out the Osage Rub circa 1950's. Ingedients=50% alcohol, menthol, oil of sage, and eucalyptus. Original liquid in it too! Works great:001_smile

I am sorry, I posted in the wrong thread :blushing:
I received this marvelous Semogue shaving brush yesterday. This is an obscure Portuguese family business set in Oporto (the same area as Ach. Brito, the manufacturer of Musgo Real brand). The nice handle is made of Portuguese oak wood and the head is silvertip-haired. The Semogue shaving brush is still pre-bloom; I hope to write a review about it as soon as I get sufficient experience.

I like its ergonomic handle!

I thought this one to be quite unusual. Though they were certainly mass produced, this is the first one I've seen. It's soon to be on its way to me.

I was hoping I could clean up the Craftsman without losing the etch, but after getting it in my hands it doesn't look good:frown:...the reynolds with the humpback is cleaner than it looks in the photo though, and the Greaves with the finger notch is pretty clean too. Gem is NOS...the blade pack is still plastic wrapped:cool:

I acquired two SS's one no date and the other a z-1 (1954). They both are better than I thought. The Z1 has minor brassing on underside of the head. Other than that it has some black on the end of the handle. The no date 40's SS has a spot of brassing underneath the head of the razor and very little on the end of the handle. Although, it seems the mechanics might be a little off. When you open the razor the part that twists on the handle falls showing a gap in the handle and lowering the head a bit. It locks down so I don't think it affects anything. Thoughts?
Lastly, I no date gold ball end tech. Near lost some gold plating on the bars and a bit on the head. Other than that it looks great.
This was my best haul so far and I thought I would share.

At my local $1 dollar store I picked up an 8 ounce bottle of Macho Sport Scent After Shave. and a 5 ounce bottle of Florida Water Cologne.

The Macho smells vaguely of Baby Powder and Menthol. The Florida Water smells, well like Florida Water:lol:
