Is this a Gillette New?

I need some help in identifying a razor I just purchased. It is open comb and shaves great. Is it a NEW? I am supplying photos for your review. Please let me know the identification criteria for the NEW if possible. As usual...many thanks.

Yes sir that is a Gillette new. It is the called the Bar handle.

The slotted head with the open comb are the main identifying physical attributes of the NEW. The serial numbers and the reissue number are also dead giveaways.

Much nicer than mine. I assume they were all gold when they were made and not copper?

No rust at all after 70 years? :confused: Must be a solid gold model. When you feel like done with it, let me know when you put it up for sale.
