So I had monster shaver, an 8/8 Henckels Friodur, languishing in the cheapest of plastic scales. Not too long ago, I contacted Robert Williams about getting it rescaled in Stag. After a little discussion, he recommended Giraffe bone instead. I took that recommendation and to say I am happy with the result is an understatement, as you can see below. These pictures don't do the Giraffe bone justice. A perfect compliment to the razor's heft, they are polished to a perfect shine. Really superior work.

Gorgeous scales. I haven't ever seen anything quite like it.

The scales do look beautiful. A nice polish! But that seems odd:

Good eye! I saw that too - it is an optical illusion. Funny thing is that the blade is actually slightly warped to the other side. Robert had to hammer the tang and slightly grind it to get the blade into the scales. Did I mention that he is a most pleasant person?

Giraffe bone, interesting.... They look very nice!!!

That thing is a beast, my hatchet for chopping firewood is smaller than that thing...:lol:
