Hi Airhead, you paid $13? That's the price I remember, of course it's been a while since I had to buy some. Seems like a value, 100 derby's for $13.

There is a B&B discount as well.

Also, they don't "charge" shipping for orders to US/Canada. I point this out because you might be able to get Derby's on the cheap at eBay but when you add in shipping the deal is about the same. Also for $8 more you can get a total of 200 blades, which brings the price down to $15 per 100 (shipped!), which is a killer deal for Derbys ... and as Tony mentioned there is a B&B discount, so the total may end up being around $13 for 100.

The last time that I bought Derbys was a special on this forum and they were about $10 shipped.

I got a great deal on them a while back, but it was a promotion for the shaving factory.

HI jkh, you know, buying them in quantities of 200 makes sense, thats pretty close to the price I paid. Derby's are my fav.

If you were to buy 200 blades with the B&B discount the total shipped would be $22.49, making it $11.25 for 100 blades.

But if you live in New Jersey, add 7% sales tax because razor blades of any kind are a non essential item and therefore subject to the nefarious, regressive, inflationary sales tax bringing the total to $24.06

So, what is the B&B coupon code?

My friend and I joined forces and bought the whole 5000 blades and we split them. So I got 2500 of them. I haven't started on them yet as I have about 10 more Merkur blades to finish off first. Then it'll be all Derby or Feathers for the next 50 or so years. We got a good deal under .10 cents delivered. I am 32 y.o now, so I won't ever have to worry about blades again.

You've got to be kidding me.....2500 blades, that's crazy!

Let's say you shave everyday and a Derby lasts 3 days, so 365 / 3 = 122 blades per year. With 2500 blades you have 2500 / 122 = 20.5 years of shaves.

Well after trying out a few blades, I came to the realization that I like the Feathers and the Derby's. I also got 200 feathers on ebay for 32 cents delivered. 1 feather lasts me almost 2 weeks if I push it. 1 derby will last me almost a week if I push it. So just for the Derbys if I use only 1 , that's 2500/52= 48years max, so somewhere it between 20-48 years. I just don't want to worry about that anymore, no more driving to the store to buy blades or having to buy them online. I know it's crazy, but I am in it for the long haul.

Just a quick plug on behalf of The Shaving Factory. I got a sweet package from them as a gift a couple of months back, and I had an excellent experience purchasing some Derby's and Derby creams. Their service can be matched by some of our other vendors, but cannot be beat.

I'm not big on the Derbys. I know lots of you really like them, but I only get one good shave out of them and that's it. I'm on to the Red Personas now. Tomorrow will be shave three on one blade. If I can reach that threshold I'll be happy.

As for price increases they are across the board and everywhere. Most consumer goods are going up as I'm sure we've all noticed. Bummer.

Check out Amazon.com. About 3 months ago I picked up 100 derbys for just under $11. I don't recall the seller name, but I'm sure of the price.

I usually try to support the little guy in most endeavors, but in this case, Amazon had everything that I wanted/needed in one place, free shipping, and lower prices. Definitely worth looking into....

Shaving factory is great to deal with, they are quick. But I doubt I will ever have to deal with them again. They told me the blades have no shelf life. My friend and I are leaving reach other the Derby's in our will.

They're the only ones I had rust so far (when in the razor).

With how many blades you have I don't know if you would have much need to buy from derby ever again anyway.
