Discuss the review of the Kai DE Stainless blades, which I believe hold their own in quality, with any DE blade made.

How do these compare with Gillette 7 O'Clock blades (the green ones)?

I've haven't tried the full spectrum of 7 O'clocks, so others may fairly disagree with me, but I found the KAIs to be sharper and a little smoother than the yellow box 7 O'clocks.
The green 7 O'Clocks I find to be pretty good blades, but they start tugging me before the end of the third shave. The Kais beat them in longevity. I also think the Kais are smoother.

I had a chance to use the Kai blade this morning in an HD. My blade of choice is the current production Feathers (waiting to receive PaulDog's Feathers to try) and the Kai blade doesn't do it for me. I felt I had to change my angle with these blades, which struck me as very odd, and I had a lot more touch up work to do after my usual 2 passes than I have ever had to do with Feathers. I will have to try a few more shaves, but these are my first impressions.
In contrast to Soapbox, I prefer the 7 O'Clock SharpEdge yellow box to the Kai blade.

I got Kai's as part of a sampler from Jeremy. I've had two shaves with my first one and I really am impressed. Very smooth and the shave lasts all day long. They are going for $30 per 100 on Ebay. Not too bad.

I only tried one, but I was very favorably impressed. I think it is sharper than a yellow 7 o'clock. I like the Green 7 o'clocks, and I think the Kai is at least as good as the Greens.
I've never tried a Feather.

The Kai's were the 38th different blade I have tried. Our social group did a group buy for these.
I like them a lot, on par with Derbys but a tad expensive. They weened to work very well in my Aristocrat Jnr.

+1. I found the KAIs nice and sharp, but times a tad irritating. Tho they are possibly a hair sharper than the yellows.

I just ordered some more of these, they are very sharp and smooth. FWIW, I found that on my last batch I liked them much better in a flaretip superspeed or NEW than I did in an HD.
Perhaps this is the famed mild razor/lethal blade combo.
I just finished my pack of Kai, I will right a review right now. Those are great blades!

I just tried them and was very impressed. They were not quite as sharp as Feathers IMO but made up for it in smoothness. I really enjoyed them!
I'm still using them in my 39C and am still quite happy with them.
I note that those who don't like them really don't; the overall score on the review would be well into the 80's had not Bostonian 007 trashed them with '1' scores without much explanation.

I just bought 25 Kai blades from Aneurysm. I'm pretty eager to try them out as many haves praised these blades. I love Feather, so maybe these are for me...? :)

Gringo,
As always YMWV but I like eathers and found these similar. First shave with a feather I strop the blade otherwish I fond it a little harsh. These seemed as sharrp but smooth right from the first shave. I found feathers lasted a little longer but havent tried enough Kai's to say if that was percepton or fact.
Either way I think they are great blades and I am glad I tried them.
