Get blade out of injector

I've gotten a schick injector off of ebay and now I want to clean it.

Problem is the only way I know to get the blade out is to load in a new one and that won't do since I want to remove blades from the razor completely so I can do a thorough cleaning job.

The skewer trick that Scotto shows in this thread (http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthread.php?t=322) opens up the razor enough to slide the blade out with tweezers.

I'm glad I got it out as well since although it looked like a new blade on the outside, the part of the blade I couldn't see was covered with rust.

Inject a new blade about 1/3 of ite length. Then you can use pliers to pull out the old blade, and with a little finesse you can gently retract the new blade.

Simply inserting the key is enough to free the blade. You can use a toothpick, Popsicle stick, pencil, or something else to push the old blade out.
