Hello everyone, I will be trying my first DE shave next week (just bought a Gillette SS in the forums). I have been thinking about it for a while and I just got some real cream and a brush and the drug store. Last night was one of my best shaves in a while with a cheapie disposable. I can't wait to try it with a real DE.
My wife should be happy. Part of the switch is because I realized I have gotten very tired of shaving, often times going 3-4 days as long as I looked decent from 10 feet away. I'm hoping this will become an enjoyable ritual that will be part of my daily routine.
Thanks for all of the great info and advice.

24842 Welcome aboard shaver! I too used to skip days for lack of interest in scraping a dull blade encased in cheap plastic over my face. Same advice as all recruits get: check out the You Tube tutorials and read through the threads for product information. You'll not soon regret this decision.

Welcome from SoCal!
I used to go 2, 3 days between shaves and now I would shave 2x a day if I could.
