A cheaper version of Muscs Koublai Khan

After reading some reviews of Muscs Koublai Khan, I must say I am interested. Unfortunately it is very hard to find here in North America and is too expensive for my tastes.

Does anyone have a recommendation for something that smells similar but is easier to find and cheaper?

MKK is a fantastic and rich scent, and it would be difficult to find a total replacement. One possibility that is more readily available can be found at Barneys (so probably not less in cost) is Frederic Malle's Musc Ravageur:

Talked to the Lutens rep at Barney's just last night and she said the Kublai Khan would not be available retail in North America until 2009, so a decant is your best bet.

+1. though I am not the biggest fan of "regular" musks or Serge Lutens, that oil is actually quiete decent and affordable.
