Hallo,

I'm curious to know if anyone else has this problem. It seems every shave I get following a particulalry good one (BBS or darn close, with slight discrepancies in the under-the-chin region) isn't as clean as the one I'd gotten the day before. The day after that off one, I can again get the same BBS or near results I had two shaves back. To illustrate, it would go like this:

Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday

The technique doesn't change any that I can see, and the whole could be chalked up to a unique and unfortunate skin type, but I figured I'd ask. Tools in use; a Gillette adjustable with Merkur Platinums, Autruche Badger brush and, this week, MUHLE-Pinsel marigold (manliest of all the flowers) with a thin base of Decleor as pre-shave.

I suffer the same problem... if I get a super good BBS one day, I know the next day won't be as good... it can be good, but not faceterbating good.

Try just shaving every other day.

Try just shaving every other day.

You know, I would have laughed at that (you know, because it's funny!), except that I now do shave every other day, and I get great results, every shave.

On top of that, even though the second day I can feel some stubble, it stills LOOKS reallly good. I used to shave every other day with my Trac II back in the day - just because shaving every day just hurt so bad. But the results were not stellar, to say the least.

Anyway, in all seriousness, DO try shaving every other day for a couple of weeks, and see what kind of mileage you get.

Peace,

Pierre

Not shave before leaving the house each and every day? I think I can hear my Opa spinning in his grave.

Maybe I'll limit myself to a single pass every other day....
