Sudden ingrown hairs?

I've been shaving with a DE since late 2005 and after the learning curve, I have not had any problems...until recently.

For some reason, I keep getting what looks like zits/pimples/whatever on my face. I believe they are all ingrown hairs from shaving but I have no idea why I'm getting them and I'm hoping you guys will have some suggestions.

I'm trying to think of causes and the only thing I've really come up with is that I let my derby blade go a bit longer. I've been using the same blade for a full week...it cuts fine at the end of the week but maybe its causing ingrown hairs. I'll try changing the blade out sooner but figured I'd write and see what other things I can try.

I highly recommend giving this a try..It does wonders for ingrowns, razor burn, and most other shaving related irritations. And it works fast. Got mine at Wallgreens...Hmm..Cant find the pic...It is just Tea Tree oil. Brand name: Organic Root Stimulator. about $5 at walgreens. Comes in a 5oz squeeze bottle.

I thought I was the only one who used this stuff! I think I bought mine at Sally's, and I want to say that mine also includes salicylic acid. It's kind of a funky bluish/green color, but it smells decent enough.

Just did a search on Walgreens.com, and came up with 3 different products that look to be the same: LINK (http://www.walgreens.com/search/search_results.jsp?_dyncharset=ASCII&term=organic+root+stimulator+tea+tree&x=0&y=0) (just depending how you want to apply it).

+1 - Most of my blades I toss after 2 shaves.

+2...3 max for me...at the first sign of the slightest tugging, into the blade bank it goes...Blades are cheap, skin worth much more!!:wink:
