hi,
obviously im a newbie to this sight but not to shaving, i've always had a personal satisfaction with shaving. im looking into straight razor shaving, but can afford to go out and buy anything. can someone please help me with a PIF or something similar? i appreciate it. thank you.

By now, you've probably gotten in at least one shave with the kit I threw together for you. I hope all went well, but even if it didn't, it gets better as you develop your own techniques.

Just for reference, here's what you got:

Gillette Adjustable Black-Long-Slim (U2)
2 DE blades, Exchange Select brand (I think they're made by Personna)
William's Soap
American Crew Herbal Shave Cream
American Crew After-Shave Moisturizer
A little bottle with about 2 weeks worth of Proraso (C.O. Bigelow brand)
Clubman Styptic Pencil (no newbie kit is complete without one.)

If you are looking for a PIF kit for straight shaving, you might want to post in the W/T/B forum on the Straight Razor Place. Seems like there is always someone willing to help a new person get started with Straight shaving.
