The first question was answered illegitimately.
The second question was too hard. The answer was L'Eglise du Nazareen du Bon Berger.
This is a third go at it..

- 100 posts or less
- Open to residents of the US or Canada
- One guess per contestant
- Post your guess in this tread

Name 3 rap artists, be it solo artists or groups, from Brooklyn, N.Y. NOT named Jay-Z or the Notorious B.I.G.

Man, this thread can finally die! We have a winner!

You can Google away. I don't think it'll help though.

If anyone gets this question right, I'll give a new AOS Lavender soap with wooden bowl. I'll wait until the morning and if I have no winner, I'll change the question to something easier.

Newark's Good Shepherd Eglise du Nazaréen

La Bonne Église de Berger de Newark du Nazarene

I know it's a hard question but this is for the soap and wooden bowl, a $45+ value when shipping is factored.

For the record, I've been attending that church every Sunday for 20+ years so I'm very much aware of the right name.

Alas that this is only open to Americans. I was about to post the translation (I speak French) when I recalled that we Canadians are not eligible.

Still, these PIFs are a really nice thing to do, no matter the country of eligibility. Good on you!

To be fair, First Class shipping to Canada is comparable to US Priority Mail shipping in price. Therefore, if you think you know the answer, go for it.

That's very nice of you.

I'll say L'Église du Bon Pasteur du Nazaréen / des Nazaréens, though I'm just translating, which really isn't fair as that's taking the credit for another's work.

Somewhat close but incorrect.

Everyone is saying Pasteur. Pasteur means Pastor. The word is Shepherd, which is Berger.

Thank you! We have a winner!

Off the top of my head, any of these names would've been acceptable: Fugees, Big Jaz, AZ, Memphis Bleek, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Foxy Brown, M.O.P., Tucka Da Huntaman, Big Daddy Kane, Pumpkinhead, Fabolous, O.C., Jeru the Damaja, Papoose, Black Moon, and Chubb Rock.
