A few days ago I posted a thread about find a few Fatboys at a local antique shop. Well, I went back today and bought all of the TTO's, slims, super speeds and a few others. I paid $1.25 each for these and I think there are around 103 razors. I haven't checked date codes or cleaned any yet, just thought I would post a pic to show everyone. I am still pretty new and are not sure how to id them all.

Keep one of each and sell the rest. Then you can buy some nice brushes/soaps/creams/blades/aftershaves. You'll be set for life.

Most of these could be easily sold for $10 or more each (Some probably a lot more), so this really is a steal. I'm a little jealous, I always check out the antique stores and all I found so far was a couple of crusty, nasty, non-opening fatboys for $12 each...

Congratulations, heynetboy! It looks like you've acquired quite a few nice razors, there.

If they clean up well and shave well, you might even have your retirement plan locked up!

And welcome to B&B. Shaving is, very obviously, in your blood.

+1! Wow deja-vu, great haul!! :w00t: I'd wait until fall (october/november) and put them up on eBay. There seem to be more bored computer jockies/wet shavers looking for razors then. Really a great find, congratulations.

--1 !!

Heynetboy,

Avoid power tools, dremel, buff pads, MAAS, and the like. Buy a large tub of OxyClean and a couple of large aerosol cans of Scrubbing Bubbles. Along with a soft old toothbrush, these will get you well underway. Oh, and a bottle of Barbicide.

Good Score! :w00t:

(wish *I* could find one of these deals...)

Thanks for all the encuragement. I can't wait to clean a few and try them out. I am having a lot of fun with this new hobby. It gives me more things to hunt for when I am traveling to antiques shops and flea markets. I have ordered a few books on razors and and excited to learn more about razor history and how to identify and date.

Dude. DUDE! I'm somewhat inebriated and thats still really, really impressive! Possibly even more so than usual... Anyways, good luck to you with sorting/cleaning/selling the razors, you'll get a lot of enjoyment and [hopefully] profit out of it.

Cheers 'n' beers - boingk

Mein gott.

You need an ultrasonic cleaner, as I don't think they have created enough elbow grease to get those sparkling.

Or I'd happily take those filthy things off your hands  .

Holy carp! What a haul. You're going to need to invest in a nice gas mask to live through all those scrubbing bubble fumes.
