All in all, a crappy shave, someone was waiting to use the shower at work so didn't build a proper lather and then shaved quickly - a couple of nicks and some razor burn - good think I keep some Jason tea tree as gel at work (great product, tea tree oil, witch haze and aloe - and cheap to boot).

I've just bought a couple of old injectors and plan to keep one at work to avoid this problem in the future.

2 passes.
Then just 1 spray of B&B Cologne in the neck and one on the wrist.

Going to friends house. late night in the evening then my friends girlfriend asks me Rene what is it you are wearing ?

Had to explain its custom made B&B Cologne I told her.. its very nice she said!

Oh and I only had 1 spritz to not really offend anyone if I had used two she would have attacked me and start kissing all over I assume...

Shave three with the Pella blade and still going strong - the blade has lost its scary sharpness, but still mowing down the whiskers with ease. My prediction is that I will get 4 -5 good shaves with these blades - which is all I get with any blade and I don't like to try to push it (especially at around 20 cents per blade).

I also remembered how much I enjoy the Tabac products, which have been out of my rotation during the hottest part of the summer as I find the scent a little too heavy.

Another great shave with the Pella blade (shave 4) and I will likely get a good fifth shave, at which point I will swap blades. I have yet to find a blade that I can use for more than 5 shaves, so 5 shaves with the Pella is fine by me.

This preshave oil is very tough to wash off. It does a good job of warding-off razor burn and irritation, but also makes it hard to get BBS.

You had too much pressure on the razor ! first mistakes when switching to a Feather from different blades is you make the mistake you took off quite some skin im sure.. hence the irritation. try it with a bit lighter touch the next time.
Feather is so sharp looking at the blades almost makes the hair in my beard run away by themselves ! the same effect the Yakuza has on some people. :eek:

Seems that I have to swith the Gillette Platinum blades after three to four times of use. Today's shave had some irritation in the neck area while I was focussing on a soft grip. After 2 hours the irritation was 95% gone (most likely because of the use of the alum block) however it still feels rather sensitive.

Tomorrow or Saturday will be my first day with a Derby!

I'm a bit late in posting this week's combo, but here goes:

I've had almost a full week with the NWC Adjustable Injector and I have to say that I'm not liking it as much as the fixed head model. Decent shaves, but still a noticeable amount of stubble left after three passes. I've got it cranked open all the way to # 8 on the dial. There's a sizeable blade gap when it's fully opened, and with other razors, I'd either be slicing my face off or getting really really close shaves.

I'm not quite ready to give up on this yet. I'll keep using this razor (with a new blade of course) with a different cream or soap next week and see if I can't get better shaves. Maybe it's the angle, or maybe this head is just too mild. Anyone have any suggestions or hints?

3 days no shave quite a beard. long hot shower. pro raso pre on, meantime some KMF on the brush and make some lather.
Dont know how many times ive used the feather in this razor but it cant harm feathers dont get blunt do they? 1st pass my god feather took it almost all away in one go. 2nd pass used the injector oh..way different angle..and you go almost like a Mach3 style. ok it works but I dont think an injector can deliver BBS by using it solo ? dont know wasnt so impressed with it.
lather up 3rd pass. Feather again. 4th pass PSO over the face and use the injector.ah ok I can go a bit no brainer mode with an injector easier to touch up on the upper lip without the fear of cutting or nicks.

absolute ZERO burn not even a hint so to test it I used the Alum block on the lower neck a tiny tingle but still not bad.

good shave experimental but good. oh the KMF is quite lubricous but the jasmin smell :9898: must be the same thing as the Arko stick.. weird smell but great shave.

I am really becoming a fan of the D.R. Harris products.

Really like the Endymion aftershave balm and edt.

Imo the Mama Bear's soap is a little bit similar to OLIVIA's soap, the care giving effect is great, also the skin feeling after this very smooth shave.
The Aqua Velva A/S has a great scent (very new for me...), cools the skin down and cares perfect...:smile: :smile:

Couldn't wait until I ran out of Dickinson's to crack open this Thayers Rose WH....WOW WOW WOW scent is amazing. NO burn whatsoever either.

Not pictured: Proraso Pre, GFT Coral Skin Food. Tea is high grade Shou Mei.

Also, got the NWC injector down....excellent, pain-free shave. Not as close as a DE, but that's to be expected from an injector. Still, a good, fun little shaver.
