I just picked up 2 "new" razors for $6.00!!! One is a single edge Gem and the other is an Every-Ready. I will post pics when I get home.

Question is: Where can I get blades for these? I got a pack of singles from Walmart in the paint section, and they fit, but not a nice shave. Any help???

I see Blades all the time at the local drug store (in the shaving section)

The paint scraper blades aren't meant for shaving, really. I used to get blades at CVS and they're ok, not great. You can get PTFE coated blades here (scroll down):

They're good but you have to buy 200.

Just got back from another shopping trip. Got 2 more razors, this time a Gillette SS with the metal flair tip and a Gillette Ball end three piece that has the Gillette emblem frosted on the head of the razor. Total price: $10.00.

I think I have the fabled RAD !!

Now, I don't mean that SEs aren't, but Necroing a bunch of threads to advertise the new forum from the DE forum is just not likely to be something that forum administrators and moderators can appreciate. You needed to do the same thing with a post of your own, just one. I was surprised you did not get any official comment.

I'm sure you'll get an official comment soon. Its ok, the link is to B&B sub forum for SE's, theres a certain policy for live auctions or selling from banned vendors that mat be objectionable.

Wallgreens have GEM blades that are pretty good too.

The question I had, and still have (I've had the dubious pleasure of serving as a Forum Moderator more than once), regards the trio of old threads done the same way, and the potential that RonV might become even more energetic and raise the number he Necros beyond that triplet.

Gad, now I feel like some kind of anarchist or something-- I realized after I did it twice that I probably should not have done that at all--- more out of courtesy to the newer thread starters- please rest assured that all I was trying to do was share good info with other, especially newer, SE users but I realized too late that it could be perceived as hostile. I certainly did not want to hijack a thread or make SEs dominant over any other razors but I see now that it could be interpreted that way-- In my defense; I have seen links to other threads within threads before but admittedly they are to less active or even old, dead, threads (the SE interest was pretty impressive and I actually noticed one of the other threads through links at bottom of the big thread- then when I searched SEs and saw things were hopping all over and that there was very little crossover, I did the thing of which we speak) but I see now that what I did was clearly a forum faux pas and I sincerely will not do it again.

Seeing how this thread is 4 years old and the OP hasn't posted since July of 2008 I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for pictures.

HA...see what happens when one post late and has had too much medicinal plant matter in their system. I need to pay attention to the date stamp on threads.

OH MY.

Now I find that I have two things to apologize for- I did not see the year 2008 either! And now that I know what Necro'ing means, I know how not to do it again--- Sorry Daniel, my bad. I have to admit that this is not the first time that I have missed a date!!!! I actually thought that I was responding to a May 10 post in 2012. I may have done the same thing in the other post I did with the link to the LOSER thread (and there was just one other)- but I think I got to that thread thru a link at the bottom of the recent LOSER thread so maybe not--- anyway, my bad, no hostile takeover intention, and I won't do it again.

Ok- I see that all my posts were to dead threads and there was a third-- I just did not include the LOSER link in that one. So I was not just twice wrong; I was 3x wrong---I may have even done this before and this is the first time I got caught! My only excuse is my inexperience with on-line forums and a critical lack of sleep in the last week. It is easy to see why I was accused of "necro'ing." If any mods happen to read this, I am guilty but it is like "thread slaughter" not "murder one," and I deserve community service rather than some more severe sanction. This is stupidity, not evil intent.

There goes HT spouting wisdom again! hahaha JK Tom. I still use Treet blades based on your recommendation.

It is really worth trying whatever you can get your hands on. Treets and Gems from the drug store can work quite well. Pellas work for me, but everyone's beard is different.
