question: I noticed earlier today that I reached 900 posts, and it was in the wireless router thread, I distinctly remember me thinking as I noticed the count and it's related post, and thought to myself, what a surprise, milestone-ish post referring to something with computers. Then I posted a few more, got home from work and noticed I was at 899 again, shoulda been around 904 or so, why does that happen, I think I've noticed it happen before as well
It's not a major issue, just curious

Maybe when you got home and logged on to your personal computer it was still displaying old information. When it refreshed the count changed. It shows you're at 903 right now.
Or not.

Yeah, it's kinda weird, because all of my most recent posts are there, so my home computer should recognize it, but alas, the last several have been about nothing anyway....:biggrin1:
If a thread is deleted or moved to certain forums the post will not show up in your count.:wink2:

that could explain it...it's not a big deal, it just piqued my curiosity
If I hadn't noticed the 900 earlier today, I would have no idea it happened
which forums don't count toward the total, by chance?

At least you have a button. I've been waiting for years to get mine installed! On the other hand, there's always this... (http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/accessories/9116/)

You could always get the portable version (http://www.thinkgeek.com/geektoys/japanfan/9806/). I just love the disclaimer:
Please Note: This device could be confused with a real dangerous device . . . so don't be stupid. :-P
