Thanks Chris, I just left Randy's house this morning. He spent a good 4 hours with me talking about just about everything related to honing and spent considerable time with me sharing his personal collection of hones and straights.

I recently took Randy up on his mentoring offer and he helped me sort out a vintage blade that had a "frown". Great guy, fun to BS with and I'm looking forward to when I need a hone again to learn more!
