I'm not sure that this is correct venue, as technically, a Rolls Razor is not a straight. BUT, I recently got an addition to my collection, a Rolls Viscount in very nice shape, except that the strop is dried out. Not cracked or chipped, just real dry. Does anyone know what would be the best way to rejuvenate this strop?

Neetsfoot oil or mink oil would do the trick. One or the other is to found at many shoe repair stores

Maierar -

I would recommend several applications of Lubriderm (unscented), separated by at least a half-hour between each coat. Here's why: neatsfoot oil and mink oil will indeed lubricate the dried-out leather, but perhaps too much so. The strop should have some "grab" (i.e.: slightly tacky) as the blade makes its passage back and forth.

Work the Lubriderm well into the leather with your fingers, and test the grab after each coat dries. When the strop is limber once more, and the grab seems satisfactory to you, try it out.

Cheers,

Phil
