No, this is not a limited offering. When I posted a poll to get a rough idea of interest in this group buy, the response was around 140 people between the US and elsewhere who wanted in.

Wow, this looks awesome; thanks to everyone who helped organize this! Some of us are poor college kids who can't really afford the finer aspects of this hobby. The choice between a new AD and dinner is a tough one, indeed. :biggrin:

The joys of Alaska. Are you telling me there is NO WAY that I can get in on this order? I'll you what... I think it's time we start to horde North Slope crude for our own and secede from the US. We get treated like a different country, might as well make it official. Tired of getting violated by shipping prices...

What if anything could the smell of Dagger be compared to?

r5cackus

I'd be down with joining BC. Been there a dozen times and have had great experiences, not to mention I go to the Yukon every year for a softball tournament.

I'm not good with describing smells, but I have the Dagger soap, so I'll try. It's very much an upscale and professional cologne smell, nothing too fruity, sweet, or reminiscent of Axe.

Put it this way: I have the New Spice EdT and a puck of Dagger. I like the New Spice but prefer the scent of the Dagger, as it's much more mature and sophisticated than the New Spice, which is a bit sweet and candyish. I think the Dagger would be a good scent to wear to an upscale restaurant or important meeting, without smelling haughty and with just a hint of style. My only complaint with the Dagger soap is that the scent isn't quite as strong as other soaps, and the scent doesn't follow me after the shave (I wish it would!).

I'll pass this buy (pun intended), but I'll be buying some Dagger EdT when my New Spice runs out.

This is going to be an excellent end-of-semester gift to myself! :biggrin:

One question, though: Have the atomizers been improved on the 2oz EDT's? I have a bottle of Embrace, and the spray has a tendancy to dribble a bit. Definitely not a big enough problem to keep me from jumping on this, but I am curious.

Oh, do we get any hints on the new fragrance?

So for those of us who are either more feeble minded or less experienced in web-based purchases than most, what's the process for placing an order?
Do I email Sue on May 9? Or do I log into my paypay account and enter her email address and follow the instructions there?
I've had a paypal account since back in ought-three but I've only used it on ebay or as a payment option on the vender's website.

Sue was kind enough to send me an advanced package so I could better explain the scents or answer questions if any came up.

Jenesee and I unpacked the box and wow, actually WOW is an understatement! There are enough varied scents to make just about anyone happy. The citrus basil soap will go great with the citrus splash, and the dagger soap will of course rock the planet with the EdT of the same name.

The new EdT is phenomenal and well balanced. I can see this one aging well over time as the ingredients merge further with each other.

The samples are very generous and it's about all I can do to keep from ordering a bunch more of her stuff!

My apologies for the poor picture, but my the camera on my Blackberry Curve is not all that spectacular.

Mr. Tadashi

Yes it is pretty normal. The next update you are most likely to get is when it hits the local post office, which is right before it is delivered.(It may be the same one as mine since Oregon city is only a stones throw from Clackamas.)

Yes it is pretty normal. The next update you are most likely to get is when it hits the local post office, which is right before it is delivered.(It may be the same one as mine since Oregon city is only a stones throw from Clackamas.)

Thanks, that some very refreshing information. Looks like I just gotta keep practicing the patience. Letter carriers don't deliver at night now, do they? :wink:

Nope, unless the are taking it home...(Bad joke alert) Typically it is updated in the evening.(I like to check it in the mourning to see if it should be delivered that day.)

This morning had a very nice shave. Still a newb.

Lovely Coconut Oil Cream shave.
Mediteranian Aftershave.
The sample X4 on my wrists.
The EDT on neck and chest.

My son is spraying Dagger EDT laughing saying all the girls will be following him today around school. (9 years old) lol

Oh and the package was neatly wrapped in some black scrunchy paper and not a drop lost.

Thanks Sue you ROCK! :biggrin:

I could not be more pleased. I had my first shave with a SCS soap, Melaaze scent yesterday. Fantastic shave. Moisturizing, cushioning, lovely! I easily pressed mine in to wood soap bowls, and applied the labels from the bags to the bowls.

I used the Coconut Oil cream today. I love SCS creams. Very moisturizing, and great shave. I am not a huge coconut fan, but I enjoyed it thoroughly!

I have used the Mediterranian Citrus splash the last two days. I love it. Actually today I put a drop of the ASM in with the splash, and loved it.

I have been using the Bay Rum w/ a twist ASM from a previous order for quite a while now, and swear by it. See the review for more information.

I have been a fan of SCS EDTs, but that Dagger is something special. Wearing it now.

The Orange Sorbet shave stick is very cool. How can this thing not make you crave a push pop?

Thanks again to all involved!

Mine came in the mail yesterday, and I was quite excited! The post office decided to handle it with at least a little care, because the box wasn't too banged up, and everything inside was perfect. I had quite an evening of opening everything up and smelling it all, and man it was even better than I was hoping!

Today I also did the Coconut Oil cream, and I find I was quite taken by that scent. Followed it up with some of the Bay Rum w/ a twist, and also the Dagger EdT. Wow.

Thank you so much Sue and Wendy, and another huge thanks to Tinzien for all the work in getting this together. You guys are great!

By the way, my box had the citrus basil and Dagger soaps. The citrus soap blends very well with the coconut cream as a superlather. Follow with a hit of the Med Splash and you're good to go!

There's not anything I can find on B&B posted on the scent of Melaaze, rodd -- could you (or anyone else) describe it? Sue's description on the site ("Melaaze is a bold blend of citrus, fruits, spices and masculine woods") is a bit vague to me.

Thanks!

Great question, unfortunately it is a very difficult scent to describe. It is quite complex in my opinion. It does have a citrus scent, I would say more of a grapefruit, maybe even a bit of pineapple? I would say the woody is a mix of cedar and oak, but my sniffer is not the best for identifying parts of scents. Sorry I can't describe it better. It is quite pleasant though. Anyone with a better nose care to take a shot?

I would have liked more citrus soaps in my package. As for the EDTs, the wife is already telling me to sell them because I am only allowed to wear the cologne I was wearing when she met me.:rolleyes:

I would have to agree with the grapefruit component but I think that there is a cedar component that stands out predominately with the citrus. I would also say that it has some spice components. The scent starts off strong but calms down quickly and blends well.

I'm having mixed feelings at the moment. The top notes are very nice, but, on my skin, it dries down to pure cedar chips in minutes.

There's so much stuff here that I haven't been able to explore it all yet.

-Dagger EDT is great
-I received the almond and melazze soaps. I just shaved with the almond soap just now and it produced a great lather and smells great
-Bay Rum w/ a Twist AS Milk is great
-The deodorant is a nice change from my Old Spice deodorants

Haven't had time to use the rest. With the amount of stuff in here, I think I'll still be exploring until the end of the month. I think I'll shave with the coconut cream tomorrow evening and wear the Arrimarse to work in the meantime.

It's like a big Christmas in the bathroom for me. Sunday I tried the ginger scent soap on Sunday, the Melaaze on Monday and the Coconut Oil cream this morning. I am not the best at identifying scents, but all are complex and sophisticated. There is a lot going on here. Sue and Wendy have quite a nose for scents.

The soaps easy made some very slick lather. The cream took a bit more effort and water than I am used to using, as advertised, and I am going to continue to use it until I am confident I am making the best lather I can make with it. Having said that, I did generate enough suds for four passes and it was slick, but it tended to breakdown somewhat quickly. I am confident I am the problem here and look forward to using it again tomorrow.

I have also used Rose ASM, the Lavender ASM (already had this one), the Avocado oil ASM, the Jagger and Arrimarse. I don't know how to describe the Arrimarse, other than to say I like it.

I already have the Bay Rum with a Twist EDT and am eager to try the ASM. I think I have avoided the clash of scents and chose ones that while different also blended well. SWMBO has not complained and even has complimented me, so I am doing something right. She really likes the Jagger.

I also have a sample of an EDT called X4 (I think it is) and will try that one soon.

On the customer service side, Sue has already sent me a replacement bottle of the Mediterranean Citrus splash.

For price, even the normal retail price, the soaps, creams ASM's and EDT's are a bargain. Considering all that is included here, this comes under the heading "deal of the century."

If I sound as if I am gushing a bit too much, well, sorry. I am really pleased I got in on this deal. I plan on being a customer of SCS for a long time.

Thanks to Sue, Wendy and Tinzien for putting this all together.:biggrin:

the Avocado oil ASM

Neat, she did wind up including that as part of the possible sample offering. Sue and Wendy are working on a matching SC in that scent. :smile:

Seth,

Yes, the avocado oil ASM was one of the samples included in the package, along with lavender and rose. If the rose scent will be same on the shaving cream, then it will be every bit as good as the scent on the my Trumper's Rose SC. No need to get the high-priced spread now.:rolleyes:

I forgot to mention the Orange Sorbet shave stick. The scent says dessert. Amazing.

+1 on the Orange Sorbet stick! And + a whole lot more to rodd for associating it with push-pops. Foolishly I used my 1805 today instead of that Orange Sorbet stick, but methinks tonight I'll pick up some push-pops and tomorrow morning I'll use the stick.

Is the coconut shaving cream supposed to be a little dried out? are you supposed to add water like you do for the soaps? my container had a dent in the cover amd doesn't close correctly and it has seemed to become more soap like. no big deal if I can just add water though ....

The Bay Rum With A Twist ASM is the best feeling and smelling thing i have ever put on my face! Thanks again SCS

Mine came in today, and the bay rum w/twist aftershave milk was labeled shave stick. Luckily I can tell the difference and didn't shave with aftershave milk!

Can I just say once again thanks so much sue, and thanks seth for keeping us updated

R-James,
That was only a joke to see if you were paying attention and reading your labels like you should :redface:.

What happened is; I had both labels stored in the same file. Wendy said she put on one by mistake and was confindent she correctel it. Now me, on the other hand, saw the 'Lime Slice" and proceeded to label bottles of ASM; not thinking the shave stick and EDT all have the 'lime slice'.

I don't know if there is one mislabeled or a bunch. I feel pretty darn stupid about this. I had considered posting that there may be an error but didn't, keeping my fingers crossed there wasn't.

Oh well.........smile, you have a unique bottle signifying 'Doofus' but then again -- all who ordered may have received this very special bottle.

In all seriousness, I feel badly and I am sorry about the error. That particular bottle holds 4.4 ounces or 130ml.
My apolgies, Sue

You should make up a special batch of EdC and call it Doofus.

D = Delightful
O = Oriental
O = Olifactory
F = Fragrance
(that is)
U = Undeniably
S = Sexy

No need to apologise sue, you are a god amongst shaving product manufacturers. Its what is inside that counts, not the labeling. You could have sent it to me inside an old hat and it would still smell as damned good!!!!

Mine just arrived also. :w00t: In a strange twist of fate, I've been sick the past few days, and haven't been able to shave. However, the same day as the SCS package arrives, I get all better! Cutting off 4 days worth of growth was a sure joy with the Orange Sorbet shave stick. Add my name to the growing list of ardent worshipers of Sue and Wendy. Yay! :biggrin:

I had just shaved and was about to leave for work yesterday when my package arrived, no chance to try any of the goodies until tonight. After much deliberation on what should constitute my first SCS shave I settled on the Orange Sorbet stick followed by the Bay Rum with a Twist ASM. Extremely smooth shave, leaving a really nice, fresh scent too! Looking forward to trying the rest of the bundle. Many thanks to Sue, Wendy, and Seth.
