Gillette SS
Merkur blade
C&E Super Badger brush
C&E Sandalwood shave soap
C&E Sandalwood aftershave balm

I made two passes with this set-up, didn't need a third pass. This is the first time I've used the Merkur blades in my SS, I was impressed how smooth and close the shave came out. I have used these blades in a Merkur Classic razor, and the resulting shave, while close, was not very comfortable. The soap/brush combo produces lots of thick, slick lather. All in all, a great shave this morning.

This is a day of firsts. It's my first SOTD post, and my first time with a few of the following items.

Hoffritz Slant (It's been a long while.)
Derby Extra
Pirate's Cove Lime Soap (2nd time.)
Muhle-Pinsel Vegan Brush (1st time.)
Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel (1st time.)

What a glorious combination! I chose the Hoffritz Slant because of the three day growth. Two passes. I chose soap because the new Muhle-Pinsel is a stiffer brush, and I thought it would work best with soap. I chose the PC Lime scent because I thought it might go nice with the new Thayers Rose Petal. Mmmm...a delicious morning.
