I was watching that one. You'll have to let us know how it shaves when you get it.

A beautiful nearly mint Norfolk case for my NEW Norfolk razor from Rodd. Thanks Rodd! If anyone knows where I can locate a chrome blade holder like the gold one in the case I would be very grateful.

I ran out of bodyshop cream. It lathered great, but I never liked the smell too much. After checking several products I settled for the C&E Sienna. They didn't have the aftershave balm nor the cream jar. Now I know what I like, I can go and order those from the internet when this tube is empty.

The Sandlewood smelled awesome too, perhaps next time for special occasions. :)

The lady in the store said to me "This is the mens department"... I am, aren't I? Why are such stores mainly for females..

Re the Coates Lime: Mine looked like that too. I added a few drops of water & fluffed it a bit w/a plastic fork. Made it a bit creamier. Haven't used it yet so I can't vouch for its quality but at least it looks better than it did.

My only concern-the package showed up right before I had to go to work!

Yes, considering it's been sitting around for +/- 3 years. I recently got 2 tubs that look like that. Give it a stir, add a small bit of water if you like, and it's good as new. I would stir it first, then add small bits of water while stirring until you get it to the proper consistency.

Best,
Scott

Thats why I use a handy little program called quicksilver. I use many programs that I don't keep in my dock. I just hit command+space, then type the application name and hit enter.

I got a 100ml bottle of Penhaligons Castile from my SWMBO and a tube of Castile SC today.

I am a fan of having a lot in my dock, but shrinking the icons to the minimum size. Easy to get to things, doesn't take space.

This one just came in the mail, it's one of two ebay purchases. This one is a Wade and Butcher, what really caught my eye was the fancy plate inset into the scales, I'd never seen one like it.

C&E Aftershave Balm Sienna
C&E Deodorant Sienna

Both to complement the C&E Shaving Creme tube I bought earlier this week. I didn't want to use a different smelling cheap aftershave balm over the Sienna scent. I love this scent, really nice.

What a Saturday.

Headed in to town thinking I would pick up some Ingrams and maybe some shaving cream from the bodyshop.

TK Maxx however did me proud and turned up TOBS Rose, St James and Shaving Shop creams at £4 each, a tub of Pecksniff's Fern Cream for £7, a great lather bowl for £2 and a metal dish ideal for soaps for £3. Found some Cade soap for the bowl in Debenhams. 3 for 2 on Real Shaving Co stuff in Boots and some Erasmic in a cheap department store.

Also pictured is Kent soap in the wooden bowl which arrived yesterday. Also got some samples of creams from JDE yesterday (not pictured).

The crowning glory however was having a quick look in a random Charity shop and finding a Duvel glass for £1.50. Now I can enjoy my Duvel in proper fashion

http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc315/barneybreadhead/score/19apr08.jpg

Where to start!
I really do not need to buy any soaps or creams for a little while, not that that will stop me

I lucked out on this one big time. I first found it at an antique store about 2-3 months ago and didn't want to pay what they were asking. And ever since I've been watching these go for huge dollars. I was in the area the other day, and amazingly it was still there. I offered $50 less than the asking price and it was mine. :001_smile

This weekend was Antique Alley weekend- from Cleburne, TX to Maypearl, TX- 25 miles of rummaging with a few finds.

The score was a gold, open comb, 1930 "New Style" Gillette with box, a 1948 Gillette Tech and a 1956 Gillette Blue Tip...all for 10 bucks! Took them home, cleaned them up and used the open comb last night. Pretty good little shaver.

Well, whaddaya think Mike? I've been using my Chubby 2 now for a few weeks and I'm lovin' it. I love the density. I've had really good luck with mine so far. It shedded a few hairs on the first shave but that's about it. No shedding since.
