This is a Tom Ray Cutlery I restored with White Marbled Acrylic Scales, Black Acrylic wedge, Stainless washers and Nickle Silver pins.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get that acrylic? I have been wanting to do something similar, but have had a devil of a time finding suitable plastic.:mad:

where did you get that acrylic?

I found a great place here (http://www.sloanswoodshop.com/default.htm). Nice people and lots to choose from.

AHA!! A quick question Limey, how does it rate (compared to original scale material) as far as stiffness and scratch resistance?

I think it is very similar in stiffness but with scratch resistance I am not sure. The acrylic did take a very nice finish and with some care I'm sure it will be fine.
