My brush wasn't anywhere NEAR wet enough when I face lathered today after applying the soap. The tabac is so rich & thick, and I guess I had applied so much of it w/the shave stick, that the razor got clogged up halfway through the first stroke of my first pass! Had to keep opening up the razor, pulling out the blade & rinsing it off. After applying some waster to my face the rest of the shave was better, and the tabac left my face feeling smooth as silk. Now I see why everyone raves about it!

Very good two-pass shave - skin feels kind of raspy in a couple of places. I'm returning to the Aristocrat/Gillette Plat combo tomorrow, though.

It gives me consistently excellent shaves (with a greater likelihood of the random BBS) and is very seldom irritating. It appears to be my razor/blade duo.

Soaked bowl and brush in hot water--the mug held an incredible amount of heat which quickly transfered to the lather. Even the third pass was still (slightly) warm. Milk glass rules.
