So I was the tester for the new version of cream and a new Bay Rum Aftershave made by JoAnna from The Shave Den Store, here is how it went.

First off I was never a big fan of the cream. I always felt the lather was hard to build, a bit thin, and not much protection. The new version was no different.

The shave went well though. Very slick but defiantly not what I am used too. I still got a close, comfortable shave.

As for the new aftershave, FAN-TAS-TIC! Great scent, went on nice (felt good, no burn), absorbed quickly, and tightened/toned the skin. Not a ton of moisturizer but pretty good for an aftershave splash. As far a Razor Burn relief, I couldn’t tell you because I had no irritation from the shave. It is safe to say I like it a lot better then the Ogallala.

The Lord blade felt pretty good. I'd venture to compare it to a really-really good Merkur Platinum. Sharp, but not cheese-grater-ish.

I am ready to declare this puck of Tumper soap done. I'ts already been re-milled once and today the thin shell of soap crumbled apart in the bowl. ......a cold water rinse, followed by the alum block and Thayer's Witch Hazel...

That brush that came with the Burt's Bees gift set wasn't too impressive
at first, but it's really softened up nicely. It shed a few hairs the first month, but I've had no problem with hair loss with this thing. It's fantastic with Proraso or KMF creams. As it's become more broken in, it's holding more water and really generating a nice lather on my face. I know some guys have had problems with it (I know someone complained that it was the worst brush they'd ever used), but I must have gotten lucky with mine.

The 40's SS is my favorite all around razor, most of the time. I find it gives better results with quick, short strokes. I normally use an IP though. I usually go with slower, longer strokes with my Merkurs regardless of the blade used.

Mike, good thoughts. I usually use IP's or Derbys for my Merkur and Gillettes. Will have to pop one in after this blade kicks. Provided I don't get back on the 38C wagon. :smile:
