UK based honemeisters

Sorry if this thread has already been done, but I'm about to receive my 1st straight which I want to send out to be honed properly so I have a benchmark level with which to use the razor for the 1st time. I do not however, want to send this across the pond, and will do so as a last resort so I was wondering if there were any guys closer to the UK who hone up razors for forum members.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have just received two razors one Bengall cast steel (the seller told me 1880) with black scales and one J. A. Hellberg Eskilstuna + Garanti + Sweden

I have done some sanding and now I just want to start shave:001_smile

I don't think he's a member over here, but poona over at SRP lives in the UK and does honing jobs. If you don't mind going international, Bruno (who lives in Belgium) over at SRP does honing and restoration and LX_Emergency (who lives in the Netherlands) does honing as well IIRC.

thanks for the info buddy. when I receive the razor I may pop to SRP and join up to see what is on offer over there.
