I suppose drinking and posting will give one the ability to overlook correct spelling, capitalization and grammar.

Naw, I do that stone cold sober. But every once in a while I try to use some erudite vocabulary to make up for it.

I enjoy a few fingers of Jim Beam bourbon when I post most of the time. I find that I post more pics when I've had a few sips. When I read the forums sober, I approach it in a business-like manner and just give short answers or tips when I can. When I've had a few, it is then that I realize that you are all my buddies and that I love you all. :blushing:

I'm tipsy now and just found this thread. Before I even found it, I was thinking about some drunk post someone made about getting some young chick to talk to him, and it was deleted pretty quickly.

Yeah, and kind of ironic that it's in the colognes section...

PUI (Posting Under the Influence) is certainly fine, so long as it's "enjoyed responsibly."

I have been known to have a couple of beers or a glass of red when posting in the evening, but the only time I've been on here completely drunk was when I appeared home from St Patricks day this year and thought it was a good idea to hit the Internet... Not my smartest move

Posting while knocking a few back? That's child's play. Try installing a new operating system on your laptop while receiving instructions via B&B's forums and chatroom (all of them because at the time you had no :censored: clue what the :censored: you were doing)...while drunk.

Come to think of it, you'd almost have to be to try to pull a stunt like that.

Lighten up a little there... folks here are just joking around. And if someone here does have a problem, then it is their problem not yours.
Passing judgement on people only reflects poorly on the person passing judgement.

And yes, this may seem to be a bit 'o fun, but I do believe it is going to get moved. Remember, one person's fun is another's waste of time.

I seriously had a buddy in the Navy who was drinking any aftershave he could get his hands on while in Alcohol Rehab. I think he was particularly fond of Mennen Skin Bracer...said it had a sweet taste, but nothing lingering...

In all seriousness, I don't like being on the interwebs when I'm a little drunk.

Mr. Gillette

In all seriousness, I don't like being on the interwebs when I'm a little drunk.

I take some medications that keep me fairly stable in life. One day I had this terrific headache. I was living alone at the time, and SWMBO offered up some pills to take this headache away from me. (I won't say what they were, but let's say El Rushbo is familiar with them.)

Suffice it to say there was an almost immediate reaction with its chemistry and mine. So I called her, after midnight, to tell her I didn't feel well...or even "right." "Just go back to bed," she mumbled, "I'll see you in the morning."

I went online that night. I have no memory of it, but apparently I sought to either right every wrong in my life or, on the other hand, I had to make amends for every slight, imagined or real, in my 50 years of living.

It was amusing, over the next few days, to read what I wrote, and what was sent back to me, depending on what chemical was coursing through my brain at the time.

As for SWMBO? We moved in together AND flushed those pills! Happy ending for all!

See, this is the real problem with the internet LOL. Back in the old days, you couldn't call all your ex-girlfriends at a moment of weakness/drunkenness unless you saved their numbers and they never moved.

Yet today it's a lot easier to just type in a name and find someone's email address. I have 2 ex-girlfriends and one ex-wife who all have institutional links on the internet and it would be real easy to connect with them.

But I would have to be drunk, high and over-medicated.

This is awesome! My rule is no checking office vmail or email when tipsy....might be tempted to respond candidly to anything that pisses me off, and nothing good can come of that.

tipsy posting on shaving forums is fair game - though when tipsy I usually focus on better things like busting a move on SWMBO!

My rule for drinking and posting is simple: don't make more of an ass of yourself than you usually would. I find this rule gives me a very wide margin to work with.

Gentleman, welcome to the straight razor forum.

Please be advised alcohol and drugs are NOT recommended while playing with any of the toys in here. You might break them (the toys that is).

Enjoy your visit.

Don't drink and shave! (at least with a straight razor)

Posting is one thing, but being a nerd I usually drink and buy clever domain names.
