*this is the return to a Feather blade for me. I gave up a few weeks back after using a Feather in a 47 Aristocrat (OUCH) and a 58 Superspeed (still OUCH)> i switched to Derby or Crystals and they were much gentler on my face. I still have some Dorco blades to try, and I might give one a spin in the Tech next week.

I was SOOOO careful today with the Tech - I was hoping that the mild shave would be well paired with the agressiveness of the Feather, and for the most part it was.

I did a 4-pass shave and while my caution led me to leave a little stubble, ...not quite BBS but a nice shave, with only a little irritation on my neck (which is my fault due to technique and angle...not pressure so much as an extra light pass or two to clear up some difficult grain...

I think the Tech is a way to tame the Feather, and for an $8 invensment in a razor, i am very happy with the shave today.

Almost the same as yesterday, but I used alum beforme my shave as well. I don't know if it's because of this or because I was careful to use less pressure, but I got BBS with very little razor burn.

First forray into a European drugstore shave stick. The Palmolive stick lathered very easily. What I smeared on my face was enough to charge up the brush for three passes. Performance was good. Scent was light, almost non existent. I like the greenish color. The soap from this stick feels incredibly slick when you rub your finger against it, even dry. I can see why people like this stuff as a value priced product. :thumbup1:

I just shaved at 1 AM and used an old Tech with Proraso Red and followed up with Aqua Velva Aftershave and Balm.

Usually I don't get a strong smell from my TOBS almond but for some reason tonight the scent really opened up and I got a really nice cherry fragrance. Hopefully it continues. I have a feeling I'm pretty close to the perfect pre-shave now, because today's shave was close and practically speaking without irritation.
