For those of you that regularly read this forum, you may know that I found a Probak razor at an antique store last week. The razor was good, but the handle was too short, and the whole thing was a bit too light for my taste. So I tried it with the long handle from my Merkur.
FANTASTIC - perfect weight and balance. I had shaved with a Gillette open comb, which I really didn't like. However this was amazing. Great shave, nice and smooth with a single pass only. No nicks or burn at all with the open comb. I am quite impressed.
