Evening men. I was watching a DVR recording of the new "Eureka" series on SciFi channel last night. I taped it Tuesday and finally got around to watching it yesterday. During one of the commercial breaks, I noticed an advertisement for a new series on the network(danged if I can remember it just now, I'll check the recording again)that seemed to be imlying that everday objects were somehow special. Anyway, very plainly and front and center in at least two shots were a black handled DE razor that I believe was Schick Krona. It was accompanied by a shave brush with a clear looking lucite handle. The brush was given it's own shot and the tandem showed up again at the end of the segment. Again, very close up and in plain view.
This is the second time that a DE razor has been prominent on SciFi. For those of you who follow the new Battlestar Galactica, you'll remember that in season one, there was a closeup scene of Admiral Adama(Edward James Olmos)shaving with a Gillette DE! Maybe we've got a traditional wetshaver doing sets at SciFi? I'll tell you what, if a bowl of Trumper shows up in an add or a series on that network, I'm going to just about jump out of my chair. Of course the wife will look at me as if I'm even more ignorant than she imagines with all this grooming preoccupation I have now.  :tongue_sm :tongue_sm. Just wondered if anyone esle caught the ad. BTW, Eureka has promise but is definately rough around the edges. BG still reigns as the best series on TV.
Regards, Todd
