My first time out with KMF and I gotta say I wasn't bowled over. Not quite the density or slickness one gets from Proraso or Fraser's. Acceptable though, and it's nice to have a really unscented cream in the line-up.

Is that brochure for the Au Sable River in Michigan or in Wisconsin? Both are pretty places.

As a fly fisherman in Wisconsin, I can answer that...it is the the Au Sable in Michigan. I don't even know of an Au Sable in Wisconsin, and if there is one, it is certainly not a storied enough river to warrant a river guide. Don't get me wrong, Wisconsin has some great trout streams (and smallmouth rivers!),

As a fly fisherman in Wisconsin, I can answer that...it is the the Au Sable in Michigan. I don't even know of an Au Sable in Wisconsin, and if there is one, it is certainly not a storied enough river to warrant a river guide. Don't get me wrong, Wisconsin has some great trout streams (and smallmouth rivers!),

I used vacation "Up North" as a kid and the Au Sable was part of it. Last time I was up there I was on a canoe, close to 35 years ago. It still looks as pretty as I remember it.

After the shave comes warm water then cold water rinse and the Alum block.

The eShave Cucumber after shave cream was a real treat. I've not used this and it performed nice.
I wanted a POW!!! fragrance and the Royall Muske is just the ticket....

Monday: New (to me) W&B "King Shave", just off the hone. Now I know what all the fuss is about.
Wednesday: "Electric Razor Co." honed two weeks ago, still cutting like a champ.
Today: "Hamburg Ring" that I honed up and put back into rotation after a year or so. Either my honing technique has improved, or my hair is easier to shave than it was a year ago...

All with sunflower/castor/tea tree oil pre-shave and Williams soap, and my own special Witchhazel formula to finish.

Haven't been well so no shave since Wednesday. Decided to try the hot towel prep for the first time as I wanted as little snagging as poss, Really impressed and it will definitely become a regular of weekend shaves :)

First time with the skin food too, very nice.

Shave nice and smooth overall, 4 passes, a couple of little nicks on my chin due to over exuberance ATG!

Getting better though :smile:
