Nice shave all in all. Three weeks into DE shaving I'm still lather challenged and the Woody's shave gel was no different (compared to Col Conk's soap). This was my first time with a proper pre & post shave product as opposed to just some hair conditioner and face moisturizer. I ended up with a nice close shave with very little irritation.

Well, I wondered about that after I got into the shave, but just decided to chalk it up as part of my lathering learning curve and pressed onward. I'll skip the brush next go around... thanks.

I had a really good shave today while I was listening to a Buddha Lounge CD.
How do you like the Dovo? I've been tempted from time to time to try using a straight and was looking at the Dovo 5/8 Tortoise, but it's always out of stock! (and too much $$$ elsewhere for a "first straight") Interesting strop, too! What is it and where'd you get it? Thanks!
