Hi, I'm pretty new to this whole wet shaving thing and loving it but I need some advice about my strop.
It's a fairly short (16" maybe) Dorko and its become a rough down one side. SO much so that I can feel the blade of my straight against it when I strop. The only reason this is happening I can think of is I keep all my shaving stuff in a drawer even when its drying. The condensation from the brush and mug might fall to the base of drawer and collect on the one side of the strop resting on that surface. Now I also have a small cut in the strop as well from a rookie mistake from turning the razor the wrong way.
How should I fix this. I just watched the Lynn Abrams video. Should I paste it? Mink oil? Mink oil is a lot more convenient but what do people think?
