By my god does Trumpers Sandalwood whoop C&E's.

Agree?

Trumper's Sandalwood to me is a nice fragrance but is not sandalwood in any shape, form or fashion.

Shenanigans!

I haven't tried Trumper's sandalwood.
I can say for certain though, C&E's sandalwood has a very clear, somewhat powdery Indian sandalwood basenote, and some very light, clean soapy topnotes, most of which dissipate when the EDT dries. I loves it.

edit: also, what's with the thread title? Are we talking about Limes or Sandalwood?

Agreed. It's like figs and a bit of cinnamon...and I love it. :w00t:

Another great example of YMMV. I personally think that C&E's sandalwood kicks Trumpers butt. But it really is apples and oranges here, they are completely different scent families, I doubt Trumper's even has one drop of sandalwood in that potion of theirs.

Trumper's Sandalwood is better, if you don't like your Sandalwood to smell anything like Sandalwood.

If you do like the smell of Sandalwood, the C&E version actually smells like it... at least compared to the Trumper's version. But they're both good.

I think Trumpers purloined my Granny's oatmeal cinnamon raisin cookie recipe for their sandalwood cologne.:a14: Delicious, but not sandalwood. Now Crabtree et Evelyn? Very close to a single note sandalwood once it dries down. :yesnod:

And what does this have to do with limes?
