quick question--
I know its better to store a hanging strop straight. But if I were to loosely curl one in a drawer, would that be an OK way to store it? No sharp bends or creases, just a gentle circle in a drawer.
I don't have anywhere to hang it and I would like a place to put it in between shaves.

Hook it onto a coathanger in the closet.

A towel hook in the wall works greats I have six hooks for my strops. If no room I also have one attached to the top of my bathroom Vanity that is wear I strop from. You can roll but not the best idea but if it is WAF you can only do so much:wink:

You get this here .03 cent nail and hammer it into the inside door frame of your closet and hang the strop there. It'll stay out of the way when you close the closet door and be ready when you need it.

Okay--- Lets say I had to store it in a drawer, rather than hanging. Would it damage it?
If you pull the strop tight, why does it matter if there is a curl to it at rest?

If you put it in a drawer with any curl long enough it will retain that curl. Of course even if it does curl it can be straightened out by soaking it in water but it may not look so pretty after that so the advice is keep it straight.

I put mine in my suitcase when I travel and it straightens right out when using it. If you get it out to use every day and put it back in the drawer it should be ok.
