It just gave me a wonderfully close shave! Although I still prefer the President's grip this razor is just simply gorgeous. I sure will throw it in the February lineup.

The Speick and the German Pitralon are from Smallflower. I am very excited to try the German Pitralon. It smells much different from the Swiss Pitralon. A fresher, cleaner scent. The Trumper Sandalwood I picked up on my home. I gotta start taking a different route home.
It arrived today..... a new ...... brush from......... (Keep guessing)

A good couple of days:
From Timmy Boston who's been holding onto this stuff for me until I could get it shipped to me in the US:
16047
Yes, that's a full bottle of Floris Sandalwood :w00t:
In fact, that was the last bottle the US company had in stock!
From Letterk - 100 Crystals, 100 Dorcos and 100Red Personnas.
16048
And finally, from Japan Woodworker, a 7 and 3/4 Masahiro Chinese style cleaver - high carbon sandwiched between stainless steel.
16049
This is the light pattern that is only 1/16th of an inch thick, so it should be great for slicing. I'm quite keen to try this out.
A colleague and I are in San Francisco on business and since he's a woodworker, we decided to trek out to the JW store - what a great place and excellent staff - well worth the effort if you're looking for Japanese knives, or a sharpening stone or several.
Sorry for the crap pictures - phone camera.

I received an interesting Gillette Bakelite box today. It is large at 6 1/4 X 3 1/8" and is too big for a razor. If anyone has any information about what this may have contained I'd appreciate it. I plan to store my blades in it.

That is an interesting razor, How does it shave? And most importantly, how much does it weigh?

Special thanks to Scoopster, B&B, QED, and Ebay!! :thumbup1:
Thomas,
how did the soaps perform?
Hello Momo,
let me say it in this way, they aren't explode when the brush touches the surface, you have to do a little more work on the soap and in the mug.
But I tell it once again, this handcrafted soaps are a manifestation relating to the skincare and the skin feeling after the shave.
For me is this issue one of the most important in using handcrafted soaps like WARO or OLIVIA's...
Hope that helps and have a nice Sunday everybody.

The razor weighs a ton!
I am working on it to repair the spring, in the meantime I transferred the head to my handle for one of my Merkurs and shaved with it using a Wal-Mart Personna.
The head design feels like there is a "roller" instead of a blade guard, and I had to work a little to get a BBS shave. My easiest BBS is with my Future set at 3.5.
Got my 2 tubs of Violetta:w00t: Thanks Sir
