I keep mine in a covered bowl, however rest assured this is C&E. Just from lathering my hand RIGHT after lathering up my hand with some Taylors Eton college (for the boar vs badger post) I noticed that you certainly can feel the badger hair against your hand a lot more precisely. I think this distinction re-iterates why one is able to achieve a closer shave with soap… the soap allows the razor to get past the protective barrier of the lather with much greater ease. It is defiantly a big difference. I really enjoy this C&E sandalwood soap. It comes in a handsome hand turned bowl, triple milled (so it lasts a long time), wonderfully scented, and extremely reasonable (price wise).
