Hello from a new member from the UK:001_smile .I have been using the men-u synthetic brush for a few months and have decided to go for a new badger brush,i looked at some of our own makers inc simpson, rooney, kent etc but have decided on a German shavemac,a rather nice looking black handle with nickle base/silver tip hair(large) and a groovy looking mug to go with it,have i made the right choice?:001_huh:

There is no "wrong" choice in these matters... and I'm certain you'll be very pleased with your new Shavemac. They're solid brushes with a good reputation around here. The shape will be most likely a nice departure from the Men-U. Congrats and enjoy your new brush!

We all have different techniques, prefrences, water types, etc. etc. all of which can influence our experiences with shaving products. That said, Shavemac brushes are well-made and perform at the same level. I love my Shavemac and think you will too.

There are many quality brushes out there and shavmac is one of them. Really, if its a silvertip and the brush is well made so it doesn't shed hairs you have a quality brush that will do its job. Everything else is a matter of personal preference.

Shavemac makes a nice looking brush - and lots of folks here seem to like the Shavemac brush. I have a Dovo brush I am quite happy with. But Dovo is really a razor maker. Someone else makes their probably makes their brushes.

Sounds like there are at least half a dozen brush makers that folks are happy with; Shavemac, Rooney, Omega, Vulfix, Saville Row, Muhle, Edwin Jagger, Simpson, Kent, etc.

I am in the minority with my olive wood Dovo brush. :frown:
