A huge, double horizontal platform hot towel warmer (not an enclosed unit like a microwave) and a big bread maker!!!! :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :001_wub: :001_wub: :001_wub: :001_wub: :001_wub: :001_wub:

I also got a paid week off from work because I was willing to do 5 hours in the office yesterday.

The best gift of all though has been being with friends, family (new and old, thanks Jenesess) and Jenesee during this holiday season instead of sitting by myself at home watching seasonal movies.

PS: Our new kitten, Google, is apparently feeling better and full of the Christmas Spirit this morning. She finally found her full purr and is prancing around the house showing it off. As sick as she was when we got her from the humane society, this is indeed a gift!

A double horizontal platform hot towel warmer.... oooohhh coooooollllllll !!!!!!!!!!!

No, "ooooohhhh hotttttt!!!!!"

Yeah, it's so cool and she even installed it herself in the bathroom! Jenesee was spot on the money with her gift! Now I need to find my eShave shaving towels still buried somewhere in the as-yet-unopened moving boxes!

My wife actually found an AOS supplier locally (Tecumseh, Ontario actually) and I got a brush / razor stand, a bottle of Pre-Shave Oil and a puck of Sandlewood, in the obligatory wood bowl!!!!:w00t: I bought myself a 100 ml bottle of Burberry (love that scent).

Only thing now is she says she knows what my cabinet is actually worth!!!  I didn't have the heart to tell her that she probably got ripped for what she bought.

Non-shaving related (if I may) was a nice soft robe, DVD of 24, season 6, Stones DVD of 4 flicks, a $100 certificate to Golf Town, and some other small stuff.

No shaving stuff today, but a nice comment:

My wife refrained from buying me shaving stuff because I'm waiting for Penhaligon's samples. She wanted to check out the scents first.

As far as shaving stuff, I got....

jack squat.

...and I couldn't be happier.

Sure, I made out with some cash and some clothes, but it's just been an absolute joy to be able to spend the whole week at home with my mom, dad, brother and especially my grandparents. In years past we would go up to their tiny little house in the middle of nowhere for a day or two, and although I love to spend time with them (in many ways I'm closer to my grandfather than I am to my dad), cabin fever always set in rapidly and having them down to our house for a change is so much more comfortable for everyone, plus it lets us spend the whole week together. It's been a truly wonderful holiday.

I'll get a santa post up later in the week hopefully. In the mean time here is an Ebay item I recently won: 6 (count 'em 6) 5oz. bottles of NOS Aqua Velva Blue for $26 shipped! Took a risk buying six but I couldn't resist at that price.

Took The Bride to Great Lakes Crossing today, just outside Detroit. While browsing and wasting time, I was looking around a cologne outlet store and came across a 3.4 oz bottle of Tabac, C/W atomizer (I didn't know Tabac came with atomizers) for $17.99, so being my favourtre everyday scent, I had to snag it.

Also picked up a small bottle of 4711, but that one is kinda weird. It's in an "Aqua Velva" kind of shaped bottle, and the label says "Original Eau De Cologne After Shave". It's not in the old style cut glass looking bottle I've seen before. It was only $4.99, so I said WTH, I'll get it. Anyone ever see this stuff before?
