Reading the reviews, I noticed a disparity between the related C&E Sweet Almond Oil, Sienna and Nomad creams vs. their triple-milled soaps. The creams outperformed the soaps. What is the difference? Does C&E or others formulate their creams to add additional glycerin or other ingredients? My experience is that cream is more lubricating.

I am also wondering this being very very new here. I know it has been asked before and discussed.

My experience in general has been that creams are far easier to shave with than soaps. Soaps require a lot more attention with lathering, water to soap ratios, shaving slowly and carefully. Creams on the other hand I just lather quickly and any way I shave it comes out BBS.

Some people will tell you they like that soaps cut slightly closer but overall creams seem to be much more forgiving in regards to lathering and technique and allow for faster shaves.

Thanks, that gives me a better idea

I have used C&E Nomad Cream and Soap, and I have not experienced any difference in the performance of the two products. The cream is easier to use because you skip the step of building a paste from the soap. You simply put a small amount (almond size) of the cream in your lather bowl, and start building your lather.

Generally, I prefer soap over cream. One of the exceptions is C&E sweet almond oil, I like the cream better.

Once you get used to whipping up lather from top quality triple milled soap, you will leave your creams behind.
