I've heard that lathering with a live badger causes some skin irritation.

They tend to object to the hot water.

And don't even get me started on trying to shake excess water out of one...

That and the fact that they really dislike being hung upside-down to dry.

I actually think that would be the ideal, all-in-one badger for any wetshaver. Think of it. Each day you can try a different grade. Monday, try the pure. Tuesday, the best. Wednesday the Super. Thursday, the silvertip. I don't think he'd stay in a scuttle, though, and you might need to use the toilet bowl to whip up that lather (I'd steer clear of face lathering!).
Would that model be better for soaps or creams?

Don't forget that the badger would provide its own agitation for making lather. Regarding soaps or creams, I say go for superlather and make the thing look like a poodle. Fun for scaring the wife and kids too.

I think it's more laceration than irritation.

The only problem is - every time you lather up you'll have a bit less face left to shave.

And it would be considered "scritchy" and a great exfoliater of your soon-to-be dead skin cells.

Umm.. Personally, if my badger did this it would be more on the irritation tip. Nothing says Lather me up like an annoying song....

The only time you'd be able to blame nicks and cuts (..and mauling) on your brush.

I imagine the idea to lather with a live badger would definitely involve mushrooms.

Or perhaps threaten him with "hey either you lather some face, or you can get a job like this badger." *see below*
