Has anybody used the Sanguine disposable straight before? How do you feel it compares to the Shavette? I'm looking into a disposable that takes 1/2 DE blades (do not want a Feather)...this seems like it might be good...anyone?

Several guys like the Sanguine, including a member who is a barber and who uses them on his customers.

If you search Sanguine, you'll find at least a couple of threads on them, as well as the link to the reviews in the review section.

While the Sanguines use a very different blade holding mechanism than the Shavette, I suspect the shaves are quite similar.

I have a SS Shavette and I think it doe a pretty good job.

So, which of these definitions is the operative one?

san·guine (săng'gwĭn) pronunciation
adj.
1. Cheerfully confident; optimistic.
2. Of the color of blood; red.
3. Archaic. Having blood as the dominant humor in terms of medieval physiology.

I bought one but haven't used it yet. I'm just having too much fun with my DE.
Here's a review:

How much did it cost you?

I believe it was about CDN$20, shipped from the UK with 5 Wilkinson Sword blades. Not bad. I got it from that same seller on your ebay link.
I keep thinking of using it on my last pass but I just don't...
BTW, if you do get it I read somewhere that the blades that fit best on it are the Derbys that come pre-snapped in half.
